SRAM RED cassette XG-1290 rainbow 12-speed | eTap AXS
Proven in the mountain bike sector for years, the 10 sprocket is now also being used on racing bikes. This is made possible by the new SRAM XDR freehub standard. The advantages are obvious: In connection with the proven one-piece design, the cassette can be built even lighter with the same bandwidth. In addition, weight can be saved on the crank, since smaller chainrings are required for the same maximum development as with an 11 sprocket. SRAM has upgraded the new Red cassette to 12-speed so that the gear steps remain small without having to forego bandwidth. The additional 12th sprocket significantly expands the intended use of the cassette in combination with the eTap AXS 1-speed group. Compared to the previous version, the shift gates have been further optimized and matched to the electronic eTap AXS rear derailleur. The result is even faster and smoother shifting.
